Spring technically has arrived—but if you're in Chicago like me, you're probably still reaching for your winter coat a couple times a week. (Fellow Chicagoans, I know you feel me.) Still, despite the lingering chill, this season has brought some much-needed creative momentum.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve released two new piano compositions: “Running from Dreams” and “Echoes.” These pieces have been years in the making—literally two years, to be exact. What finally brought them to life? Finding the right creative environment. I’ve been lucky enough to connect with a new studio that feels like a true artistic home: warm, collaborative, and encouraging. Pair that with a phenomenal Mixing and Mastering Engineer, and suddenly, what once felt like a distant goal is now part of my catalog.
These two songs are deeply personal. They’re built from recurring memories—dreams and thoughts that have haunted me from a particularly intense, darker chapter of life. Composing them was my way of processing, reflecting, and ultimately letting go. Music has always been my most honest outlet, and this release—just like my debut album Sketches from the Dark—is another attempt at storytelling through sound, honoring past experiences while creating something that, I hope, resonates with others.
Looking ahead, I’m planning to bring these pieces to the stage. Think: intimate springtime recitals and a few potential local gigs around Chicago (stay tuned on here and on my socials for details). If you're in the area and craving something a little different, I’d love to see you in the audience.
Wherever you are, I hope you're finding moments of beauty this spring—even if it's still snowing in April. And to my fellow Midwesterners: we’re almost out of the woods.
As always, thanks for being here.
